Wind Prospect Developments Ltd, a joint venture partnership between Wind Prospect and EDF Energy Renewables, submitted an application for Braemore Wind Farm in 2010 on behalf of Braemore Wind Ltd.  Following amendments to the proposed application, including a reduction in the number of turbines from 27 to 18, a Public Local Inquiry was held between 28th September and 1st October 2015 to consider the planning case for the application.

In October 2017 the Scottish Government issued a decision letter, granting consent and deemed planning permission for the wind farm.  The decision letter and PLI Report can be downloaded by clicking on the links.

Notice of the decision will be published in the Edinburgh Gazette and the Northern Times.
